Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
Can I Watch This Please, LLC (“Book This Please,” “we”), 1 N 4th Pl, Brooklyn, NY 11249, explains in this policy how we handle personal information when you use the Services. The Services are the Book This Please websites, booking pages, admin, apps, and related features we offer now or in the future.
An instructor is our customer, the person who offers classes or other services. A client is a person who books or otherwise interacts with an instructor through the Services. This policy covers information we handle. An instructor’s own practices are described under “Instructors” below.
Information we collect
Depending on what you use, now or as we add features, we may collect:
- Account and contact information. Name, email, phone number, login details, brand and profile details, and the preferences you set.
- Booking information. Classes and other offerings, waitlists, attendance, cancellations, credits, memberships, gift cards, and the history of those purchases.
- Payment metadata. Amounts, currency, status, and a reference to the payment. Card numbers are handled by payment processors. We do not store full card numbers. We may keep a processor’s customer reference and, when a card is saved, the brand, last four digits, and expiry.
- Device and usage data. IP address, device and browser type, app version, pages or screens viewed, and approximate location derived from an IP address.
- Analytics. Events about how the Services are used, which we may collect directly or through an analytics provider.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies, local storage, and similar tools that keep you signed in, remember a browser, secure the Services, and measure use. One of these is a signed cookie named bs_client. It can last 180 days. On that browser and host, it records that you proved control of your email, so a saved card can be used without a new code every time.
- Communications. Emails, text messages, push notifications, and support messages, including the content and the records of delivery.
- Content you upload or import. Photos, logos, bios, class descriptions, and material you import, including from a social media account you connect.
- AI interactions. Prompts, instructions, files, and outputs when you use an assistant, agent, or other AI feature.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide and secure the Services, process bookings and payments, and send the transactional messages a booking or account requires. We also use it for:
- Personalization, such as remembering a client on a browser or showing an instructor their own schedule and clients.
- Analytics and product improvement, to understand which features are used and to fix and develop the Services.
- AI features you choose to use, including setup help, content generation, and assistants or agents acting on an instructor’s request.
- Fraud prevention and security, including investigating abuse and enforcing our terms.
- Marketing, with consent where the law requires it. You can opt out of marketing without opting out of booking or account messages.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track as an opt-out signal, and we do not sell or share personal information. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide the opt-out the law requires.
Client accounts and saved cards
A client has one Book This Please account for an email address. That account, including a saved card, is shared across instructors and across domains that use the Services, including a domain an instructor connects. Saving a card is optional and is separate from completing a booking. When a browser is not one we already remember, we email a one-time code to that address before the saved card can be used. Instructors do not receive the full card number. Sign-in to an instructor account is a one-time link sent by email.
Sensitive personal information
We do not require sensitive personal information to open an account. We do not ask for a government identifier, precise geolocation, or health information as a condition of using Book This Please. If you or an instructor gives us health or similar information, for example in a waiver the instructor collects, we use it only to provide the service it was given for, or as the law requires.
How we share information
We share information with the instructor you book with, or whose page, waitlist, or offering you use, so they can provide that service and support you.
We share information with service providers and processors who process it for us, such as payment, email, SMS, hosting, analytics, error monitoring and AI providers. Examples include Stripe for payments, Resend for email, and Twilio for text messages. The specific providers can change, and we may use others of the same kinds. They are allowed to use the information only to perform services for us, or as the law requires.
We may also share information if the law, a court, or a regulator requires it; to protect the rights, safety, and property of clients, instructors, and us; or as part of a merger, financing, or sale of the business, in which case this policy would still describe how the information is handled or we would give notice of a new one.
Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share a mobile number with a provider who sends the text on our behalf. That is not a sale, and it is not sharing for marketing.
Instructors
Book This Please is a controller for platform accounts, saved payment references, the bs_client cookie, and operating the Services. Instructors are independent controllers of the client information they receive through the Services and of information they collect for their own business, including on their pages and in any waiver they use. Their own notices apply to that use. Contact the instructor about their practices, and contact us about ours.
California categories
In the past 12 months we may have collected the categories below. We collect them from you, from the instructor you interact with, from payment and message providers acting for us, and from your device. We use them for the purposes in this policy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
| Category | Sources | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers, such as name, email, phone, account id, and IP address | You, your instructor, your device | Accounts, bookings, security, and messages you opt into |
| Commercial information, such as bookings, credits, memberships, and purchase history | You, your instructor, payment activity | Purchases, refunds, and records |
| Payment metadata, such as amount, card brand, last four, expiry, and a processor customer reference | You, Stripe | Payment, a card you asked us to save, refunds, and disputes |
| Internet or network activity, such as pages viewed and browser type | Your device | Security, analytics, and product improvement |
| Approximate location derived from an IP address | Your device | Security and fraud prevention |
| Photos, logos, and other visual content you upload | You | Your page and branding |
| Professional information, such as an instructor’s brand and class details | You | An instructor account |
| Sensitive personal information, only if you or an instructor provides it, such as health information in a waiver | You, your instructor | The service it was given for, or as the law requires |
We disclose these categories for a business purpose, to service providers who process them for us: identifiers; commercial information; payment metadata; internet or network activity; approximate location; photos, logos, and other visual content you upload; professional information; and sensitive personal information only when you or an instructor provided it, and only for the service it was given for.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is open and as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, including to complete a booking, provide a credit or membership, and run the features you use. Booking and payment records are kept while we need them for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or an open dispute, and then deleted or de-identified. The bs_client cookie expires after 180 days unless a new one is set. We keep information longer when a legal duty requires it. Providers we use may keep their own copies under the same kinds of limits.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit where the channel supports it. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, to opt out of marketing, and to appeal a decision we make on a request. Residents of California, and of other states with similar laws, may also have the right to know the categories of personal information we collect and disclose, to correct inaccurate information, to delete it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define those terms.
Email [email protected] to make a request. Tell us whether you are a client, an instructor, or both, and what you want (access, correction, deletion, or an opt-out). We will confirm receipt of your request. We may need to verify that the request is yours. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, if the agent shows authority and we can verify you. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you, and we may take up to another 45 days where the law allows. We may decline a request where the law allows, and we will explain why. You may appeal by replying to that explanation.
Deleting information also opts you out of texts and marketing sent by us. We may retain information this policy says we keep for a legal duty. An instructor may still hold information they received as an independent controller; you can ask them directly as well.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. An instructor who allows a minor to participate is responsible for having the authority to do so.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will also give notice by email or in the product. If you continue to use the Services after the effective date, the updated policy applies. An earlier version still describes information we collected while it was in effect, except where the law requires otherwise.
