Text messages

This page describes the Book This Please text program for clients, instructors, and phone carriers. The program is transactional. Text messages are not enabled yet, so the opt-in box shown below is a preview.

What we send

The messages covered by this program are service texts about a booking or an account with Book This Please. For carrier verification, the program is transactional booking messages, including:

Booking confirmations
Reminders
Cancellation notices

The same opt-in also covers related transactional service messages we send now or add later about that booking relationship or the account, such as waitlist updates, schedule changes, and other account or service messages. It does not cover marketing. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.

Marketing texts

This program is not a marketing program. A marketing or promotional text needs separate consent, collected apart from the service opt-in, and would say that it is marketing. You can opt out of marketing without losing these service texts, and you can opt out of these service texts without that affecting a separate marketing consent.

How opt-in works

Clients opt in with an optional, unchecked box at booking, together with the phone number they enter. The box is not pre-checked. Leaving it unchecked does not affect the booking. Checking it is consent to the transactional messages described above. Consent is not a condition of purchase or booking.

Who sends the texts

Texts are sent by Book This Please, including on behalf of instructors. Instructors do not run their own text programs. The program name is Book This Please. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

STOP and HELP

Reply STOP to opt out of these service texts. We will confirm and send no further texts under this program unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help. The help reply includes the program name, Book This Please, and [email protected].
